Larisa King

Larisa is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner that specializes in medication management for adults and adolescents aged 15 and up. 

Larisa's work passion is building rapport with her clients and striving for a trusting, professional relationship. She feels it is important for her clients to feel heard and have their questions, concerns, and feelings validated. She also enjoys collaborating with therapists of all specialties to provide person-centered treatments for their shared patients.

Larisa has been in healthcare all of her life. She was a CNA at age 18, an LPN at age 23, and an RN at age 29. She later earned her bachelor's in nursing from WSSU and went on to earn her master's degree in nursing (PMHNP-BC) from ECU in 2019. She worked in oncology for 5 years and psychiatry for 12 years before going into private practice as a PMHNP.

Larisa enjoys working with a wide range of clients, including those dealing with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, dissociation, and addiction. 

Larisa is a member and ally of the LGBTQ+ community. She is open-minded and welcomes all individuals, regardless of race, sex, gender, orientation, identity, disability, religion, nationality, ethnic background, or political opinion.

In her personal time, she enjoys camping, gardening, reading, crafting, making handmade journals, walking in the woods, and spending time with her family.
